About Flying Fig Studio

Hi! I’m Karla, the face behind Flying Fig Studio, a small business based in Offaly, in the heart of Ireland. Every item in my shop is designed, handcrafted, and packed with care by me using plastic-free packaging. I’m passionate about creating thoughtful, sustainable gifts, and I’m proud that Flying Fig Studio was recognised as a finalist in Irish Country Magazine's Irish Made Awards in 2023 and 2024.

Flying Fig Studio began with a simple idea: creating meaningful gifts for loved ones. My first piece, a star map, was a personalised anniversary gift for my astronomy-obsessed boyfriend. Since then, I’ve expanded to offer a wide range of hand-crafted products, including both personalised and non-personalised gifts, designed to celebrate life’s special moments.

Whether you’re looking for a custom keepsake or a ready-to-gift item, I put care and attention into every piece I make. My products range from unique tote bags and mugs to bespoke laser-cut items, all made to order in my Offaly studio.

• Eco-Friendly Packaging: All packaging is plastic-free, recyclable, or compostable to minimise environmental impact. I also support reforestation by donating to the World Land Trust each year.
