Flying Fig Studio: A Finalist in the Irish Made Awards!

I was absolutely over the moon that Flying Fig Studio was a finalist in the Gifts category of the Irish Made Awards 2024, following recognition in the Home category in 2023. It’s such an honour to have my work acknowledged alongside so many other talented Irish makers and creators.

The Irish Made Awards, run by Irish Country Magazine, celebrate the best of Irish creativity and craftsmanship. These awards highlight businesses that are committed to quality, originality and making, right here in Ireland. Being recognised in two consecutive years means so much to me as a designer and maker.

This year, the nomination in the Gifts category reflects the heart of what I do: creating unique, meaningful designs that bring joy. From illustrated mugs and totes to greeting cards and laser-cut gifts, each piece is made to connect with people, whether it’s through humour, sentimentality, or love. Everything I create is crafted with care, with a focus on quality, sustainability, and, above all, spreading a little happiness.

The awards ceremony itself was such a fantastic evening. It was great to get dressed up and meet so many fellow makers and small Irish business owners. The night was filled with great food, entertainment, and fun, and it felt like a real celebration of Irish creativity.

I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who voted for me in both years. Your support means the world, and knowing that my designs resonate with you is what keeps me inspired every day.
