Hi, I’m Karla, the designer and maker behind Flying Fig Studio, based in the heart of Ireland. I create thoughtful, handcrafted gifts designed to bring joy and celebrate life’s special moments. Every item is made with care in my studio and sent to you in sustainable, plastic-free packaging.

Flying Fig Studio started with a personalised star map I created as an anniversary gift for my astronomy-loving boyfriend. That simple idea grew into a range of unique gifts, from custom keepsakes to mugs, tote bags, and laser-cut designs, crafted with love to make every occasion memorable.

What Makes Flying Fig Studio Different?

I’m passionate about sustainability and quality, and these values are at the core of everything I create:

• Vegan and Cruelty-Free: I use vegan-friendly materials and avoid products like bone china or leather.
• Eco-Friendly Packaging: All packaging is recyclable, compostable, or reusable, and I support reforestation by donating to the World Land Trust each year.
• Personalised Gifts: Many of my designs can be customised to add that extra special touch.

I was honoured that Flying Fig Studio was a finalist in Irish Country Magazine's Irish Made Awards in 2023 and 2024 - an incredible recognition of my commitment to meaningful design and Irish craftsmanship.
